A special christmas event hosted with our partner, Communities in Schools – Laurens County. Nearly 400 families were invited to shop a truckload of quality Amazon goods including bedding, kitchen items, baby care, toys, and other household necessities. Santa made an appearance. While children played games, their parents picked out special items to place under their tree.

Community partners who helped at the event include: East Laurens High School Boys Basketball Team, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Heart of Georgia, Dublin Housing Authority, CSB of Middle Georgia, Christian Recovery Center, Heart of Georgia Healthy Start, City of Dublin, Dublin Police Department, and Girl Scouts "Cotton Blossoms."

Giving a big shout out to the Dublin Police Department. Officers were on site from truck delivery to final distribution. A couple of officers actually spent the night at the facility to safeguard everything. That's real dedication!

VIP's in attendance were Georgia Representative Matt Hatchett (Chair Budget Committee), City Councilman Bennie Jones, City Councilman Brandon Chain, County Commissioner Brenda Chain, Board Members CIS-Laurens, and Dell Bunker, Mercer Stetson-Hatcher School of Business, Strategic Advisor for HHEH.

Commentary from families was overwhelming gratefulness....repeated sentiment was "this has helped our family so much - bless you." Sharing the miracle of Christmas was truly special this year!
