Funded by the CDC and in partnership with Emory Prevention Research Center (EPRC), HHEH hosted its first Conference "Nurturing Opportunities and Resources in School Pantries for Health" at the Emory Conference Center. Schools from around Georgia engaged with interactive panels with star school chapters who shared best practices for programming. Our Keynote speaker, Georgia Superintendent Richard Woods, shared a heartwarming message on our "WHY." A special recognition of Representative Mike Cameron (District 1-Georgia) as our first #FeedingChange Champion preceded lunch. EPRC round table discussions energized and informed topped off with a cooking demonstration with Eric Ishee of Wood Frutticher. The day concluded with a motivating message from Audre Allen, Principal of Chatsworth Elementary in Murray County.
